Nine Ball is a game played with 1 to 9 numbered balls and a cue ball. Each shot the cue ball must touch the lowest numbered ball on the table first, but mind you the balls should not be pocketed in order. This non-call game is won when a player legally pockets the 9 ball, without any missing shot, committing a foul. The Nine Ball Game is also another part of the billiards game with much concentration as to the each player. Players have to be mindful of all balls on the table while playing this Nine Ball game.

Racking and Breaking:

You will find some difference in this Nine Ball game than other as the balls are racked in a diamond shape, with the 1-ball at the top on the foot spot, the 9-ball in the center, and the remaining balls in random order with tightly packed. Then the shooter will be ready for strike to break which is normal, the shooter must strike the 1 ball first and either pockets a ball or send four balls to the rails to continue in his turn.

Then the shooter may play a "push out," moving the cue ball into a better position for the next shot. If he fails to make legal shot it became a foul. Then the other shooter is allowed to start his inning till he misses a shot or foul or win. Even three chances are provided to the player to correct his mistake, who continually fouls, either on the break shot or on a succeeding shot that doesn't result in pocketing a ball or contacting the lowest numbered ball first. If the player performs same mistake continually for third time then he will be declared as the loser.

The game billiard is continued till the player is pocketed the nine balls legally without making a foul. According to the rules of the game the player should pocket the final ninth ball without making any foul from the very beginning including the first shot should contact the one ball and all shots should initially contact the lowest number.
